What is Energies for Climate?
Energies for Climate is a global campaign aiming to accelerate the transition towards low-carbon and accessible energy for everyone, launched by MakeSense in partnership with EDF. Our mission is to empower citizens, entrepreneurs and organisations to find, support and create high-impact solutions that address their local issues of access, consumption and low-carbon energy production.
Energy is crucial to reach most of the UN Sustainable Development Goals; from its role in the eradication of poverty through advancements in health, education or economic development, to combating climate change through the development of clean energies.
We believe that collectively, we have the resources and creativity to create and support transformative solutions that will enable everyone to have access to the energy they need to build a good life, while combating climate change and preserving our environment.
We created this program, so all players sharing the same vision can take action, connect, learn and access concrete tools to make a positive impact on this crucial issue.

Technical and technological solutions, from low-tech to high-tech, that will enable us to have a both growing and sustainable development.
New forms of governance and financing systems to support this transition in a socially responsible way.

makesense is a dynamic, global, people-powered community that connects engaged citizens, passionate entrepreneurs and forward-looking organizations to solve social issues. We aim at inspiring, enabling, and accelerating positive impact through tailor made journeys for each stakeholder we engage with.
In 7 years, we have helped 2 800 projects, 35 000 citizens and 100 corporations in their journey towards impact.
We have created this program to unlock potential and provide support to all players to collectively solve the issues related to energy transition and climate change. For every program we create, we build strong partnerships with organisations that share our ambitions and values.
